Outreach, Engagement & Development Co-ordinator
The Mozartists £25-28K, commensurate with experience Closing date 05 June 2023
The Outreach & Audience Development Coordinator will handle the day-to-day running of our outreach programme and play an active role in writing trust applications for future projects. They will assist the CEO and Concerts Manager with audience building, marketing, communications and donor cultivation, help to populate an ambitious new website which is currently in production and assist in other areas as required - these are likely to include event organisation, copywriting and general administration.
A key member in a small, friendly team, the successful candidate will have the energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to take on a wide range of tasks and the ability to work calmly under pressure. They will be a personable team-worker who is also highly organised, with a good work ethic and strong attention to detail.
Key relationships: The Outreach & Audience Development Coordinator will work closely with the CEO, Artistic Director, Concerts & Operations Manager and Finance Manager, as well as the company's freelance contractors. This is an outward-facing role, and this person will nurture and develop relationships with funders, schools, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly disposition;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail;
- Excellent IT skills with a sound understanding of MS Office software;
- Wordpress experience, or the ability to learn quickly;
- The ability to work effectively in a team with people at all levels, both internally and externally;
- Flexibility to work outside office hours when needed for company events;
- Excellent organization and planning skills, with the ability to work flexibly under pressure to prioritise and meet deadlines;
- We will need to arrange a DBS check, which will need to be passed.
- The successful candidate will be a natural communicator with a professional attitude and a positive outlook.
Desirable / Useful:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent;
- Knowledge of, and interest in, classical music and opera;
- Numerical skills and budgeting experience;
- Experience of, or an interest in working with schools.
