Producer (Community and Schools)
Britten Pears Arts Up to £30,000 Closing date 09 June 2023
Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: Snape Maltings and The Red House. Our founders’ vision inspires all our activities: from work with our local communities to our national leadership roles in the fields of programming, talent development and music for health & wellbeing.
The Community programme exists to have a positive impact on the health, wellbeing and learning of those in East Suffolk and beyond through participatory heritage and music projects, working with individuals of all ages and strengthening the communities that exist around them.
This role will be responsible for developing and delivering Britten Pears Arts’ music education offer for schools and young people. This will include designing projects, training and resources to support high quality music provision for young people in formal learning settings both locally and nationally.
We’re looking for someone who’s been involved in music education for a while, and who is now ready to lead on their own projects with some autonomy. We’d love to hear from you if you have an honest passion for music education and are looking for a role to which you can bring your can-do and collaborative way of working. You will be able to make a genuine difference to young people's lives and will increase the number of young people who gain access to music through your work.
Initially this is a fixed term role for 10 months, however, this may be extended.
