Project Manager, BBC Proms, BBC London Orchestras and Choirs
BBC £40k + depending on skills and experience Closing date 09 January 2022
The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.
We are the Learning team for the BBC Proms and London-based BBC Orchestras and Choirs. We produce high-quality and creative learning experiences and content which offer as many people as possible the chance to engage with the music we make at the BBC. We are a team of people who love music and are committed to nurturing talent and championing engagement with live music.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team to lead work delivered with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Ten Pieces. Working with the Learning team will give you the opportunity to work on big projects that make the most of being part of the BBC, working with a big network of teams across online, radio, orchestras and choirs and BBC Education. You’ll also get the opportunity to work in collaboration with external arts, educational and cultural organisations from across the UK. Our audiences are at the heart of what we do and you’ll be working directly with them to deliver digital and live events and creative participatory work that engage communities, schools and musicians of all abilities with the BBC.
