Senior Development Officer
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra £26,000 Closing date 31 August 2022
Amazing orchestra, amazing people
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is seeking to recruit a Senior Development Officer, who will raise funds to deliver music and life changing programmes of work in schools and communities across the South West of England.
Working with one of our Development Managers, your role will be to think creatively around the management of our mid-level donors and the roll-out of a busy calendar of donor communications and events to retain their support.
If you are curious, very organised, good with people and have superb communication skills, we’d love to hear from you. You will have probably gained some relevant experience or transferable skills during your first or second role in fundraising, events, marketing, sales or communications, and are now looking for your next challenge.
This is your chance to really fast-track your experience by working with a professional, supportive and collaborative fundraising team in an organisation making waves in the classical music world. We’ll make sure your talents shine while you’re acquiring new skills by providing an environment in which everyone can be the very best version of themselves.
This is a full-time permanent position. The contractual hours of work are 32.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday with some evenings and the very occasional weekend event.
We can offer a salary of £26,000 per annum plus some outstanding benefits. (Requests for hybrid working arrangements will be considered.)
We're committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore encourage applications from groups that are under-represented in the classical music sector. BSO is an Equal Opportunities Employer and we are committed to hiring people based on attitude and merit and welcome applications from everyone regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic.
To download an application pack and find out more please visit the BSO website. If you have any questions about the role, please contact Will Cainen, Development Manager, at wcainen@bsorchestra.co.uk
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 31 August 2022.
