Senior Keyboard Technician

Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2025 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the global No. 1 institution for both Music and Performing Arts. The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for four successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings in 2024.

The RCM has over 200 keyboard instruments, consisting of grand pianos, mainly Steinway & Sons instruments and upright pianos, predominantly Yamaha and Kawai pianos. The RCM also has an extensive collection of early keyboard instruments.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Keyboard Technician to support the Head of Keyboard Technical Services in the tuning, maintenance and re-building of the keyboard stock, including early keyboard instruments.

A formal keyboard tuning and repair qualification is essential. Training will be available for early keyboard tuning.
