Association of British Orchestras

Senior Project Manager (Learning Manager), BBC Proms and London Orchestras and Choirs

BBC £44k + depending on skills and experience Closing date 04 December 2022
The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.

You would be part of a dynamic Proms team that looks after Live Events, Marketing, Learning, Communications, Publications and Business.
In any single week at the BBC Proms you could be working on events for singer Cynthia Erivo, the London Symphony Orchestra with conductor Simon Rattle, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, sitar-player Anoushka Shankar and the BBC Orchestras and Choirs.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the Learning Team as part of a job-share. It will give you the opportunity to lead on projects that make the most of the BBC, working with a network of teams across online, radio, orchestras and BBC Education. You’ll also have the opportunity to work in collaboration with external arts and cultural organisations from across the UK.

We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm for music and live events who is committed to creating inclusive opportunities for people of all backgrounds to participate in arts and culture. You will be able to originate and develop creative ideas which engage diverse audiences in a demanding creative environment. You’ll be able to lead and motivate others and work collaboratively with teams to turn challenging situations into practical solutions. You will bring a creative, imaginative and innovative approach to reaching audiences through live and digital platforms
