Association of British Orchestras

Social Media Officer

Britten Pears Arts £25,000 Closing date 19 August 2022
Britten Pears Arts is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast. It was created in 2020 when the two long established charities which formed the legacy of Britten and Pears’ life and work, Snape Maltings (formerly Aldeburgh Music) and Britten-Pears Foundation came together.

The Marketing Team is responsible for promoting everything that we do, from performances through to our work with communities and young artists, our two destinations; Snape Maltings and The Red House, and our commercial activities which include retail and events. This newly created role will be the voice of Britten Pears Arts across all digital platforms.

The role will work across the whole organisation, promoting our performance programme and charitable activities alongside all of our commercial offers which include retail and catering. Driving footfall to The Red House, a heritage site, as well as to Snape Maltings will be a priority.

Our ideal candidate will already be a confident user of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and will have experience of working with at least one social media tool in a commercial or voluntary context. We are also looking for the ability to create engaging content which is appropriate to the target audience and platform, along with the ability to prioritise a varied workload, achieve strict deadlines and use data analysis to inform future social media activity.

We are an equal opportunities employer and believe that diversity strengthens and enriches us. We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates of all ages and from all backgrounds, in particular from minority ethnic backgrounds and disabled candidates who are currently under-represented at Britten Pears Arts.
