Stage Manager (Venue Operations)
London Symphony Orchestra £28,000 to £36,000 per annum depending on experience Closing date 24 November 2022
The LSO Concerts Department requires a Stage Manager (Venue Operations) to assist in the planning and operation of all stage management, event setup, venue support and instrument transportation requirements with a particular focus on activity at our home venues of LSO St Luke’s & the Barbican Centre.
The Stage and Transport team comprises one Stage Coordinator and three Stage Managers. Alongside Facilities, Technical and Percussion Hire, we form the Operations department, reporting to the Operations Manager. The Operations team is part of the Concerts Department. The post is based between the Barbican, LSO St Luke’s and Tottenham in London, however the Stage Manager will be required to attend events outside of these venues within the United Kingdom. The position involves working evenings and weekends and being away from home on tour.
For formal concert and event work (i.e. when on the concert platform in front of the public) the post holder will be expected to wear a black shirt and black trousers and to be smartly presented.
Manual Handling training is required as part of this role. Any necessary training arrangements and costs are covered by the LSO.
