Association of British Orchestras

Team Assistant, (Business Team), BBC Proms

BBC £28 - 30k Closing date 28 February 2022
The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe. We want the Proms to be for everyone and are looking for people to help us do that.

We’re looking for a Business Assistant to join the Business Team. This role ensures our artists, teams and stakeholders experience the magic of the Proms, by administrating the complimentary and promoter ticket requirements. You will work and communicate with a wide range of people including external Artists, Orchestras & Choirs, Publishers, Agents and BBC Internal Departments. You’ll be part of a small team that works very closely with Marketing, Communications and Live Events, and there are opportunities to grow your skills in these areas by setting up systems and supporting the administration of live events throughout the Proms Season.

You don’t need any knowledge of classical music to play a part in the Proms; if you have great planning, organising and communication skills, good attention to detail and a flexible approach, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for someone with experience of working in administration in a busy office environment who is confident dealing with lots of different people. You’ll be able to work well on your own initiative as well as enjoy supporting a team working to deadlines and under pressure.
