Tours & Projects Sales Manager
Askonas Holt £45,000 Closing date 08 September 2025
Working with the Director of Tours, Associate Directors and Project Managers, you will be selling tours and projects in targeted territories to help create successful engagements and tours for our Touring Partners.
Sales Generation
• Drive sales of the Tours & Projects department by proactively Identifying new business opportunities and converting leads into confirmed dates.
• Routinely connect with promoters and presenters via phone and video calls to proactively book concerts and sell tours.
• Targeted selling of some specific projects to support Project Managers
• Manage efficiently a high volume of workload and multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and clear communication with all Stakeholders.
• Negotiate fees and contract terms with presenters, ensuring alignment with Project Managers on tour requirements and financial agreements.
Sales Co-ordination
• Co-ordinate and action sales proposal requests from Presenters in a timely fashion
• Maintain detailed logs of all project sales progress and presenter communication through the internal database (Overture)
• Update and develop sales resources and systems and enrich databases through ongoing market and presenter research.
Developing Networks
• Develop and maintain trusted long-term relationships with presenters, including venues, festivals and promoters.
• Work closely with the Askonas Holt Berlin office and sister company Opus 3 in USA to align on sales strategies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
• A broad spectrum of knowledge and appreciation for the performing arts, preferably in classical music.
• Proven experience in sales, ideally with orchestras, dance companies, venues or festivals or a related field.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire excitement and trust when securing engagements for our Touring Partners.
• An instinctive networker and a strong negotiator with the ability to connect with programmers and artistic administrators across the field.
• The ability to demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy, listening skills, and persuasiveness.
• The ability to integrate quickly and smoothly into a team and to be a motivated, effective team-player.
• A proactive and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
• An established network of international contacts in the classical music world, including venues, festivals and promoters.
• Experience with projects that involve production, technical or staged elements in any form.
• Proficiency in a foreign language.
