Trustee

Music at Oxford Voluntary, reasonable travel expenses offered Closing date 30 May 2023
Music at Oxford (MaO) is an Oxford based registered charity and not-for-profit arts organisation founded in July 1983. We provide an annual series of concerts embracing various genres, interlinked with an exciting community engagement programme, ensuring that we provide the highest quality music for the whole local community. We are committed to the cultural, social and economic well-being of Oxford and surrounding areas, building on past achievements and looking forward to exciting and challenging developments.

We are now seeking up to four new trustees who can bring different skills and experiences to the table. We are actively seeking Trustees from the Global Majority and ideally at least one new trustee will be under the age of 40. We offer reasonable travel expenses and are able to be flexible about meeting dates and times.

MaO is run by a small team under the leadership of a full-time Artistic and Executive Director. The Board of directors, who are also Trustees of the charity, meet at least 6 times a year in order to set and monitor strategy, review the development of artistic programmes and monitor finances. Trustees may not be required to attend all meetings. A development board is also in the early stages of being established.
