Association of British Orchestras

Music and Technology Officer

Open Up Music £18,426 (£30,710 pro rata) Closing date 10 November 2025
Open Up Music is an organisation with a simple but powerful mission: to open up music to young disabled musicians. We work alongside those young people to tackle musical inequality - inspiring new instruments and new musical forms for the 21st century. We are looking for a Music and Technology Officer to join us at an exciting stage of development.

As Music and Technology Officer, you will work closely with the Programme Manager to create, manage, and maintain accessible music resources for the National Open Youth Orchestra (NOYO). You will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of musical and technical resources for rehearsals and events, providing troubleshooting and technical support to the NOYO team, musicians, and teachers. In addition, you will contribute to the creative use of music technology in NOYO, including our own accessible instrument, the Clarion.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and organised individual with a passion for music and technology, who is eager to drive innovation and accessibility within an inclusive music programme.
