Since 2012, the ABO and RPS have united to present an award in recognition of the extraordinary orchestral musicians working in Britain today. Annually, orchestras may nominate one of their musicians for an expert panel to consider.

This year's Award was presented to Chris onstage at the orchestra’s concert at St David’s Hall, Cardiff on Thursday 17 November, by RPS Chief Executive James Murphy.
