Association of British Orchestras

ABO Board - Co-Opted Director

Association of British Orchestras Voluntary Closing date 30 March 2026
The Association of British Orchestras (ABO) is seeking to appoint two Co-opted Directors to its Board of Directors.

The ABO is one of the most significant voices in the UK’s globally-acclaimed classical music scene, and a vibrant contributor to the UK’s £8 billion music sector. We are currently looking to fill two vacancies for Co-opted Directors who can support the organisation to strengthen its impact and influence.

Details of the role and how to apply can be found in the Information Pack linked below.

Applications can be accepted from the wider ABO membership (excluding Full Members) or external individuals or organisations beyond the ABO who bring a range of skills and experiences to complement and broaden our perspectives. They need not work directly in the arts.

The ABO is committed to inclusive leadership and to ensuring our governance and senior leadership benefit from a broad range of perspectives, backgrounds and lived experiences. We particularly welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and/or those who identify as disabled, that are underrepresented in the sector and our organisation.

Deadline for applications: 10 am, Monday 30 March 2026

Interviews: 15, 16 or 17 April
