Admissions & Programmes Co-ordinator
The National Youth Orchestra £28,664 per annum Closing date 27 April 2026
The National Youth Orchestra is the UK’s leading organisation championing orchestral music as a powerful agent for teenage development.
We activate teenagers’ confidence, optimism and skills to play their part in the world today, through performing and sharing extraordinary music.
We are looking for an Admissions & Programmes Co-ordinator to support musician recruitment, auditions and programme administration across NYO’s activity. This role is centred on the annual recruitment and auditions process for the NYO Orchestra, ensuring young people, families and colleagues experience clear, efficient and well-organised processes from application through to audition and onboarding.
You will support the planning and delivery of Orchestra recruitment and auditions, including application administration, scheduling, communications, audition logistics and participant records. You will also support NYO Inspire application processes, including administration and moderation activity. Outside peak recruitment periods, you will contribute to wider programme administration across the team and attend selected projects and residencies as a Residency Assistant.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised, participant-focused and confident handling detail in a fast-moving environment. You will bring strong administration and communication skills, a calm and professional approach, and a willingness to support both detailed process work and practical on-site delivery across the year.
At the National Youth Orchestra, you'll work as part of a supportive, friendly, and adventurous staff team. Learning and personal growth are intrinsic to every role.
Our offices near Holborn in central London are a hive of activity, a space for collaboration and ideas. Hybrid working is standard for most roles, with a flexible and supportive culture. NYO offers a season ticket loan scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, health cash plan, retail and entertainment discounts, and a 24/7 counselling and support helpline.
