Section Leader Cello

We're looking for an exceptional musician to join Royal Northern Sinfonia as Section Leader Cello at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. As one of six string Section Leaders, you'll play a key role in shaping performances across a wide-ranging repertoire, from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works. Alongside outstanding orchestral musicianship, you'll bring charisma to solo performances, a passion for chamber music, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, audiences and communities.
The role includes orchestral and chamber performances, recordings, digital projects, recitals and audience engagement activities. You'll also contribute to our creative learning work, inspiring musicians of all ages through workshops, coaching, school projects and community performances.
