The Association of British Orchestras has announced the 2017/18 cohort for the 'Find Your Way' programme, with new funding partnerships with Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Arts Council England.

RPS/ABO Salomon Prize 2017

London Symphony Orchestra violinist Lennox Mackenzie has been awarded the RPS/ABO Salomon Prize for orchestral musicians for his “innate ability, love of music, generosity of spirit” and his “wisdom, strength of character, good judgement and diplomacy that has served the LSO well over so many years”.

The ABO Conference dinner on 26 January 2017 saw the presentation of ABO Awards and the ABO/Rhinegold Awards for Orchestra Manager, Concert Hall Manager and Artist Manager of the Year.

The State of Britain's Orchestras in 2016

The ABO has published its latest statistics on British orchestras. The report shows the phenomenal achievements of the nation’s leading orchestras as they delivered more than 4,000 concerts and reached almost 5 million attendees and 900,000 children and young people amidst a 5% drop in total income.

UK orchestras to champion 11 of the best pieces of British orchestral music from the past 25 years through PRS Foundation’s Resonate programme.
